Bodegas Peinado

A range of exceptional Solera Gran Reserva  Brandies, from 10 to 100 Years of ageing.

SOLERA SYSTEM

In the cellar, the old barrels from previous years are added with newer vintages each year, and the final product drawn from the oldest barrels. By mixing different vintages, the overall age of the blend is gradually increased, and the final brandy is a mixture of old and new vintages. This is called Solera System. The system uses a layer or even dozens of layers of barrels to create brandy consisting up to hundred of vintages.

The Brandy Peinado 100 Years honestly reflects the bodegas's history.

Quality Brandy from Spain

The story of Peinado's brandy began when Juan Antonio Peinado distilled high-quality brandy in his home cellar in 1820, in a small town called Tomelloso in La Mancha, Spain. He distills the strictly selected Airen white wine on open flame inside "Alquitaras" distiller. Following the tradition, Bodegas Peinado uses grape spirit known as "Holandas" at a concentration of no more than 70% alcohol as a base material, and then uses the Solera System, a unique ageing system, to age the brandy and pass it on from generation to generation, to date.
